About Us

The Sales & Marketing Council (SMC) is a part of the Building Industry Association of the Bay Area (BIA) that provides training, education, mentoring and networking opportunities to all sales and marketing professionals with in the organization.  The Sales & Marketing Council is open to all members of the BIA and their employees.  Dues are $75 per year. Dues include membership in the NAHB’s National Sales & Marketing Council and the following:

The SMC develops and implements programs to increase the skills and professionalism of members involved in sales & marketing within the residential home building industry. The SMC is also responsible for planning the annual MAME Awards (Marketing and Merchandising Excellence), where BIA members are honored for their excellence in home building, selling, marketing, merchandising and advertising.
